Attributes of pain killers
This exercise demonstrates the process of multi-attribute
utility assessment, a set of techniques for determining the
value of options that differ on several attributes.
In particular, this exercise illustrates the SMARTER method described by
Edwards and Barron in their 1994 paper,
"SMARTS and SMARTER: Improved simple methods for multiattribute utility measurement" (Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, 60:306-325)
In the three boxes below, type three relevant attributes of
pain killers that would influence your decision about what
medication to choose for a headache. For example, one
attribute might be 'duration of relief'. Then hit 'continue'.
