Background

Edward is a theoretical mathemetician employed by one of the large communications companies. He frequently causes trouble by not respecting the gravity of business situations (or any situations at all, really), but is kept on because every now and then he produces something which is of dramatic business value. Much a case of the hen who lays golden eggs.

He's known to frequent a wide selection of different venues, ranging from discotheques to libraries to pool halls. He's likely to show up in the oddest of places, always with a perfectly rational reason for being there... if you don't mind following about five steps of seemingly random association.

Okay, I'm going to be a true net.geek here: the library I have is a nice little sub-index of the Gutenberg online book project that was prepared for me by the guy who brought me in to the Virtual Adepts. (It was about the only good thing he ever did for me, which is why I don't regard him as Mentor.) This sub-index just points out a number of online books which happen to contain the _real_ stuff...

For the Node... not sure. The character is still coagulating a bit, and this is something that I hadn't thought through, yet.
